Default Tail of two carbs - Time will tell.

I have two carbs for my build. They are both used, but I deemed them to be excellent buys, so I will give them a whirl. I have an old school 4777 650 Double Pumper that is like new and a Pro-Form 750 vacuum secondary that is also like new. I paid about $120 each for them.

I have a pretty good idea how this will go based on past experience, but there are a lot of variables. So, it will be an interesting learning experience. You can see the details of my build in my signature.

Let us know which one you like better, i think it will be about the same till the tip end, the vac sec might edge out with more CFM, but the 650 will like the roll out off the line a bit better perhaps, but then again, the 750 might do just as good off the go with the secondaries not coming in instantly.

Experience tells me that the 650 DP will 60' and run better ETs but the 750 vacuum will MPH better. My ideal scenario is that I will be able to tune the 750 vacuum to outperform the 650 DP across the board, but I doubt it. The smallish converter is the wildcard in the mix I think.

I think with the right secondary spring the 750 Proform will work great. But it will be fun testing them against each other!

For sure, the 750 VS will work fine if you are not going for max power.

oh it's been installed for around 3 years now, was just worried with taking it up and down my old trailer and rubbing the crap out of it. Now I have super long ramps and 2x12s to fix that issue
