Default Guaging interest on a potential product

I have been cooking up an idea for a carbon fiber, aluminum or stainless intake. It would have sections for tuning options and manufacturing benefits. I have a High-end 1000+hp Audi Tuner and ex-moldmaker for a racing program helping out. He wants to see what we can put together for the carbed LS setup. I'm basically going to make similar designs to the vic Jr and Sr. to begin with for testing on my ride. Any input or brainstorming is appreciated.

I have always thought it would be nice to have an affordable carbon fiber carbureted intake manifold.

I have thought about this also. I would love to build a aluminum intake but it would be a LOT of work, time and money! Looks like you guys have the stuff to do it so I say go for it.

I am down for any testing if you need test cars, i can run back to back dyno numbers on my car and even return the product if you like. I will be doing the same for Professional Products intake that may be out soon, i have actually said too much, but you get the idea.

My first instinct was aluminum but he recommended s.s. or c.f. for their heat transfer properties (lack of actually) anyone with input on this theory please speak now...

I think the first few will be s.s./tig for creating the molds and testing anyway.

he started rambling about ice chambers, nos ports on the runners, and all kinds of interesting ideas. we will keep the first ones pretty plain jane but you can imagine the potential for tune-ability at the strip or trackside.

Oh, i forgot to mention, a sheet metal intake that was affordable would be pretty bad ***.

It would be sweet if it would be close to fit under a stock cowl. You know slight trimming of the cowl.

LOL. They told me they weren't gonna do a carbed LS manifold...guess they changed their mind.

Have ya'll seen what AFR came out with? They got a composite carb intake and it looks pretty cool. There's a lot of naysayers, but Tony stands behind his new intakes and is confident it'll out do the current aluminum intakes on the market. You might want to check out those intakes for some ideas...aswell as Cary's/Mast's intakes.
