Frist yes you should be fine on ur CPR and be able to run pump gas. I have pushed the evenlope for a while on pump gas. I know for a fact u can go even over 11.5.1. Second nice cam. With that gasket and mill you shld have good vtp clearance. Do however, recomend a sfi flew plate. Stock is pretty weak. Blancer? Unless your running turbo, pro or super charger, root style blower a stock one will be fine. Stock balancers are very well designed on the ls serious engines. Good luck

i ended up getting an sfi flexplate from JW that has all the converter bolt patterns.
also installed some arp rod bolts for good insurance.
i checked the piston to valve clearance over the weekend. the intake just makes it at .082 between 5-10* ATDC but the exhaust will need to be cut, .057 @ 10* BTDC. this was measured with weak checker spring, dial indicator, and adjustable pushrod with the rocker set a 0 lash.

Nice mustang. Im building a 93 coupe with a LQ4 with 241 heads to bump up ratio. Except I want to drive around with a nice idle like a Z06 cam with a 100 shot of NOS.

i've been working since june 1st with a total of 2 weeks off in that time period so the process is slow. i did flycut the pistons and dropped off the heads to get assembled. goal is to have it running by the end of the year and make some hits when it cools off.

on an old sbc with iron heads , im running 11.4 to 1 comp on 93 octane with 37 deg adv. no spark nock that i can hear. my cam choice bleed enough pressure to handle it. im running a comp extreme energy 290 solid flat tappet(252-260 at .050 , 110). the car runs like a champ with a conservative stall for the street. my best time on pump , through quiet turbo muffs, on drag radials is 11.3 at 120. u cant even hear it running down the track. my 12 yr old loves it! just my .02.

Its amazing how a chevy engine makes a fox body run so quick. I mean 11s you allmost have to stroke and poke a ford 302 natural aspirated engine. More and more people are going to chevy power. My old coupe got 25 plus MPG running 11.6s with 400rwhp to the wheels with a ls1 with 6 speed trans.

One of my first cars was a notch like yours with a stock 6.0 short block with a set of PRC 243 heads 11.2 comp. and basically all the same trans and converter as you, Cam was a comp 236 XFI intake and a 242 magnum high lift exhaust lobe on a 110ls Installed straight up. My car ran very low 11's high 10's all day on pump gas. The most important things to consider for running higher compression on pump gas. Make sure you quench area is correct about .040" I have ran less if I stay under 7000rpm, Ignition timing these engines don't need alot like the early engines to make peak power.

Finally got to work on the car for a solid week. Got the engine together and put it in. Went through all the wiring and got it setup the way I want. Everything in the car works if I do end up putting it on the street. Ended up going with a th400 which is at the shop being built with a rmvb and transbrake. Going to toss a 10" TCI 4000 in it first to see what it wants then I will go with an 8".

Made it out to the track for the first time last night with 30 min of run time on the engine and hardly no tuning. Race weight with me in the car is 2960 and I weigh 200
First pass with the rev limiter set at 7000 it went 10.68@115 running out of gear around 1100ft so I coasted to the finish. left off idle 60' was 1.52.
Second pass went up in jet size and set the limiter to 7300. went 10.44@128 still on the limiter about 100 ft before the finish. stalled to 2000, 60' was 1.47
Third pass went 10.43@128 same thing as 2nd pass. 1.46 60'.
All in all I am very pleased with these shakedown passes. Going to put a 28" tall tire on it so we can do some fine tuning to the motor and not have to worry about spinning it too high.

Dude you been making claims for a while about your car and have been asked numerous times for videos to substantiate your claims and you always have an excuse. It is obvious that a combo like yours is definitely capable of running the times based on a few other ones on here, but, everyone else backs theres up with video and not excuses. Just seems odd to me.
