Stock rods are shorter. The new crank is going to pull the piston down in the bore farther and up farther on the upstroke. I don't think anything is reused in a stroker build. I could be wrong, but I'm 99.9% sure I'm right. Someone else will chime in soon enough.

Is your building 408 with l92 heads and not wanting to flycutt pistons I would buy these forged pistons. 030 over for a 6.125 rod. They have extra wide valve reliefs fir the bigger l92 valves. Cheap as well I got a set of. 030 forged pistons that fit the floating ls2 rod for 520.00 bucks shipped.

y would you buy pistons if you dont even know what your gonna build with them. try and return those. they look like stock lq4 pistons. and im sure the poster that asked what pistons they are was asking for the bore size/ stroke / rod size they even require to work. you obviously cant use a stock rod if the piston were to call for a longer length. and you cant use a piston that called for a 4" or 3.622" stroke if you want to use it in a build using a 4.1" stroke.
