Default Why wont my 6010 run.

Been fighting this thing for a year. Changed grounds, power supply, coils, sensors and everything i can think of.
Thought it might be the box, so i went out a bought another one(same thing).Am i missing something?
Sicne then have went to the stock computer and it seems to be fine.
Still wanting to get the 6010 to work.
At around 7000 it shuts itslef off. Will not pull more then 30 degrees of timing.
Car is race only and needs to make max power for class racing.
Motor has 750 carb with big camshaft and stock crankshaft (wheel never been off).

Do you have the Edlebrock or MSD box? I assume you are setting up a timing curve using the MSD software and have adjusted the rev limiter using the software to something north of 7k?

there is a total timing section in the software around the rev lo rev high areas. That number must be above 30. Also the rev limiter must be set higher than 7000 to allow it to function up there too. I've been banging 7300 a few times with no issues on mine, others have gone higher also.

Perhaps due to the combination of your setup and the remaining factory hardware, you are seeing the limit of the reluctor wheel's resolution which is causing the '6010 box to become "confused"...

I have never tried to see what happens with the coils hooked up backwards if you are saying it will not run at all with the 6010, they are good to 7700 before the 24x reluctor begins to be unreadable to the factory and aftermarket ignitions, the 6012 and the 05 up 58x is better I believe, but not starting? Are you surethere is no voltage drop to the ignition controller?

I'm just sayin, it could be "tolerance stack" on his hardware. Crank reluctor off just a hair, either sensor just a bit too far away or just a bit too weak...

Alternator charging? Bad alt. means you trying to run that ign. off straight battery.

Voltage is good, dyno stays at 14+ always. Box is wired direct.
Cloyes timing chain not adjustable.
I think the box gets confused. This motor should turn 8500+ all day long. When it had the Fast system on it she would go through the lights at 8500 to 8700 depending on what kind of pass it was on.
Dose anyone know what the spec is for the sensor to the wheel, tried spacing it out didnt seem to help.
