Good luck on your quest. Any details on the ride? Might be good to set up a sig, so that in posts people know what your ride is. Again, good luck man...............go kick some ***, lol. Eric L

Out of curiosity, because I have a similar converter that I had behind my BBC, what does that 4600 stall flash to behind the LS? And what diameter is the converter, 8, 9, or 10 inch. Thanks. Eric L

Just got homefrom track 10.98 @ 123.49. 1/8 mile was 7.01@99.32 with only a1.602 sixty foot. Now time to get heads ported and get my compression up. That was evadable track and that converter is an8" it still goes to 4600 but just not a fast flash

Im going to change converters this week and I'm really thinking about spraying it because half the people at the track last night said there was no way I was not spraying it. They are just stuck in the old school stuff and don't have a clue what these motor will do. I ran old SBC. For years and I will never go back now.

I have to admit, for basically a stock LQ9 with some smaller chamber heads and a cam, it flys, lol. But to be honest, compared to Speedtiggers Buick that weighs 3700 + lbs, its about right. But still shocking. Thats what made me make the switch. I should easily be able to run mid 10s with the setup im building, and compared to my past motors its a REAL mild build.
Im in the same boat as you are with converters. I have a 10" and an 8". Im pretty sure the 8" is going to be WAY to tight and flash far to slow for this motor. So I have a feeling ill be throwing the 10 inch in first. And if it dosent work as well as I hope, at least ill have an efficent street converter until I change, lol. Again, congrats on the build.
