Default Finally got to make some test hits on the Mustang.

For the first time out, I was very pleased. Car weighs 3100 with me in it. LQ9 with LS3 heads, custom cam, TH350, 8" Stall, 4.10 gears, 275/60 drag radials.

Had a problem with my tach not working correctly and causing my shift light not to work. Bumped the limited on the 2-3 on my best pass.

1.599 60 ft
6.96 @ 102 mph

Not bad for a first time out, any video? Plenty should be left in it unless you are in the Swiss alps for altitude, lol.

I do have one video a friend made on his phone if I can figure out how to load it.

I was running 32 degrees of timing all in after 1500.

DA was 2560 ft last night.

I'm hoping to get it to launch better. It seems kinda soft with a 1.60 short time. I do remember I told the converter guy I was gonna spray the car so it may be a little tight.

Whats the compression on this car? You should be in the mid 10s or less with that setup if I was to guess.

10.25:1

I was running low timing and a borrowed 1050 Carb that I think is too big. I'm happy for the first time out. Im not happy with the 60 ft but that could be a number of things. I'm just glad I finally got to drive it.

If I may ask, what are the specs on the cam, and did you have to flycut the pistons. Great results. Like most have said, should run easy 10s. Eric L

No problem. Cam is a 230/238 600/615 110+2 not sure what lobes though, I know intake and exhaust are different from each other. I did have to flycut the pistons......080" intake .050" exhaust

Menchaca, they don't really have a tnt night, they're a small track and run bracket program and tnt same time. They usually run on Sunday afternoons, just Friday during the hot weeks. They're actually switching back to Sunday racing next week, no more Fridays. PM me and ill give u my # and we'll see if we can get together one day.

C4, my tach was screwed up so I don't know any rpm info. Just got finished installing another tach for next trip. Next time I'm taking 26" and 28" tires and the 1050 Carb that's on the car and the 950 I have on the shelf.

How well do they prep at Brainerd these days? Haven't been in a couple years. I thought about bringing it Friday night. Just last time I came on a tnt there it wasn't prepped too well.

How's your GT setup?

Nice best pass ... we hope to be out there this Friday making some shake down runs after just completing my front DA coil over install. Look for a big red Hummer SUT next time you're out there and come say hi. Last track visit was Brainerd for there opening night TnT and didn't feel it was worth the extra 45 minutes so we will be sticking to Paradise for Friday night TnT's. We are hoping to get out to Steele, Alabama soon for their Sunday TnT's as well.
