That truck looks awesome. I would love to have a 73-81 chevy truck with an LS swap one day. I love the square body GMs.
I did my PCV setup a little different. I mounted the valve cover 1 on the passenger side. I took a phillips screwdriver close to the same diameter as the inside of the tube, stuck it in there, and turned it 180deg so it is facing back. I came out of that tube to an inline PCV valve (from a V8 1973 Chrysler New Yorker) then to the back of the carb.
The valve cover 2 is on the drivers side. There was a nipple that stuck down in the rubber grommet from the factory. It looked like a PCV, but it was open with a pretty small diameter hole in it. I got a clamp on filter from the one of the local parts houses and clamped it on there.

Mine had the small tube like yours, I got a set at the junkyard like these

That way you can run any type of pcv, like in the old sbc engines. Think im using one off a 91 camaro, its a 90 degree one. Also running a small catch can in between the intake and pcv to cath all the oil before it goes into the intake.

Im using the small breather like zone too, and have a bigger one in the oil fill hole. Part numbers on my build page towards bottom

Not right off, temporarily out of commision. A 1200 lb door on a press at my work fell on my neck, have 3 compression fractures, L1,L3, andT12. Not doin to good right now. I havent got it mounted, but gonna mount it on the firewall between the back of the carb and pcv using 3/8 fuel line
