The wire in the instructions for the timing retard wires into your into the nitrous system. I wire mine to the solenoids. When I activate the nitrous, the 12 volts activates the solenoids and also gives the box 12 volts to instantly pull the set amount of timing.

Nice I knew there had to be a good way of routing it! So just to make sure I got this right. You run the + retard from the box to the solenoid, so that when the N20 is activated it automatically retards the timming? That sounds about right.. Are there any other things you guys run with it? like a window switch? I just want to make sure I dont screw this up. Or any beginner tips you'd like to share?

Yup, I connect it to the same 12 v source that activates the N2O. I run a MSD window switch that only comes on at 3000 and off at 68-6900. Stand alone fuel cell with 100+ octane that will dedicate higher octane to prevent detonation and eliminate worries. I run a micro switch on the throttle and a button so I have to be wide open throttle AND hit the interior activation button. No mistakes. I also run a purge to clear the line of air.

Ok good so at least I know im on the right track then with this.. What all did you use for the seperate fuel system? I'd like to do mine up in the same form, but idk how often itll actually get used and if i can even afford to do it that way right now.. Still working all of the tuning kinks out yet, but that is getting close. after that there are still a thousand more things to do..

A Holley red pump will work. Cheap and do not use a regulator.

Hey sorry to jack the thread, but zone and anyone else on here using spray what system are you running? I am interested in adding some nitrous to my set up and just looking to add a 100 shot nothing crazy. I was interested in the zex kit with perimeter plate or just keeping it basic with the Nitrous Express mainline kit and adding a bottle heater. Also, interested in the Nitrous Outlet puck that they mount at the bottom on the manifold.

Is it worth spending the extra money on the better kits or does a budget kit work just as well?

I currently use the cheap sniper kit from NOS. It is 399 last I looked and comes with 100,125 and 150 jetting.

I scored the kit brand new at a swap meet. Price was too right to pass up, even if I wasn't wanting to spray anything. Works fantastic.

no regulator?? ok.. Ill have to look into that. How big of a fuel cell do you run for the spray side of things? And I'm working on getting the Zex kit in mine.. So far the components look good/ like most others I've seen.. Cant say on functionality yet though...

Have a 1 gallon cell I just got for the mustang. The other one I used was a 2 gallon I think? Was a random plastic fuel tank I got from a friend. Handed it down to another friend and now he is using it.
