Low 13s maybe? That converter and gear are going to hinder you 60 foot times.

That stall is to small I would go with a 3000 to 3200 stall that will work much better for you..

My friend had an almost identical setup in a 64' Chevy II. It went 8.40's on motor and mid 7's on a 100 shot

I would avoid the hot cam. Just me. There are carb specific grinds that deliver. The edelbrock 2216 is great, I just need to finish the next swap with the 2215 so I can share results.

My 79 malibu with a lt1 all bolt ons hot cam 3600 stall and 3.73 runs 12.7- 12.8 all night long.

If you hook your car better be mid to low 12s as the stock stock truck head should flow better then stock lt1 heads.

Damn Zone. Will your fascination with those Eddy cams ever end? LOL

You might sneak into the 7s.

An 800 mechanical secondary is a lot of carb for a 5.3 with a 2500 converter. A 3500 converter should let that carb work and help ensure you will hit the 7s if it is tuned well.
