No. Id get the new head milled as well. And possibly port the exh side of the #5364 since they dont breathe out as well as the other casting

Im lookin @ it in a budget type of way. With a baby on the way soon. Im just trying to round up a few of the main parts fairly cheap while there out there. I can seem to find a #823 casting in my range @ the moment. So i was gonna make do with whats available now.

I dont see it as 2 much trouble to get one head milled down to match the other sorta

I get it but heads for these motors are cheap. At least in my area. The cheap set of springs i plan on buying cost more than the heads they are going on.

Didnt realize you were running rectangle port heads til I did some research. And you are right I cant find rectangle port heads around me. Cathedral port heads are cheap here and everywhere. I did find some right ups about guys running different castings without any problems.

When I was looking for them (used)...Then added machine shop time and parts up to make them ready to bolt-on...It was cheaper (just barely) to buy new and I got a warranty (piece of mind).

Look around

I took your advice very stubbornly and let the #5364 head get away for $160 on eBay. . But less than 24hrs after that someone on yellowbullet pm'd me and I'm glad to say I have a matching 823 now for $150. .

=)

Now onto the cam decision. .
I got specd by Texas Speed to try the 235/239 cam .639/.623. . But I'm gonna keep searching to find other proven came.

Thanks for you all's replies. =)
