Bad part is most to all of the headers that are built for our platforms are done with nothing on that side because they ASSUME you are running a race truck with that large of a diameter of header. Therefore no reason for heat/ac box.

Even my cheapo headers were not made for the engine sitting as far back as mine does..

Contact seller and see if they have an alternate set you can use that was actually built WITH the ac box on the truck. it may be listed as an option on the part description.

Something like with AC or without AC. You could technically get by with a heater only box, but down in your neck of the woods I would think you would like having the AC.

If you decide to go heater box only, I have one but its without a fan. And you kinda have to figure out the fan control wiring unless you can adapt the resistor block into this box from your AC box.

Going to see if I can do some cutting on the AC box, maybe I can get some extra room and glass it back together for all I know. I do need to pull the motor foreward a bit, see how that helps. I bet not much.

Hedman hustler is junk so far for a t56 and AC.

Here is the issue with the slave cylinder, what big fat retard in the development said this would be OK and allowed the advertisement to say it would work with a T56 is clearly out of their mind. It would, I don't know, BOIL the fluid and maybe melt the master?

So, at this point, I can beat the primary tube in to clear the master and put some header wrap to keep tempts down. But the AC box, I still have not a clue.

What other headers are out there that are full lengths that will work?

Jegs told me about some that were $870 or maybe summit, but I have no clue about compatibility with your combo. Again, I have shorty cheapass headers that the designer and welder both should have been bitch slapped..

Welder put the O2 sensor right in front of a bolt hole on a fixed collector flange. And designer should have swapped the last 2 tubes on the passenger side and extended the collector out by 3-4 inches to make installation much easier.

I would not beat on them at all. Call shipper and raise holy hell over it all. Make THEM pay return shipping and figure out what headers will work for you.

I may submit and go with the 1 5/8 mid lengths at this point.

What retard at hedman allowed there to be a damn 1 3/4 mid length, which is what I want, to be made for a LS swap for a 4 wheel drive and no 2 wheel drive? There some backwards thinking going on, that's for sure.

Yep. Some of these swap company engineers forget about the other platforms available.

What about the 1 3/4 in frames like I used? for the 94-03 s10s. They took some work too but fit better than those looks like. I had to notch the back of the ac box but only because it sits higher in a blazer. Headers in an s10 arent fun, first gen sbc or lsx engines, they all suck. Ive fought for years with them

You used 2nd gen headers, where did you get them? The CPW pieces? What exactly had to be done?

Do you have plans to put a 6.0 in this truck someday?

No, old man, I don't, but plans change and maybe one day I'll put a bigger engine in it and that's why I wanted the larger headers. I know where you are going with that, didn't i? Lol
