Still up in the air if I'll use 4th gen wheels or chop and center for stock offset.

also, look into mountaineer rear ends. the 8.8 has become a high demand rear end between racers and jeep wrangler swaps. the mountaneer has the same rear end, but nobody thinks to ask for it. you can probably score it for less.

Lol, I have plenty of friends that get mad when I get multiple swaps done before they get 1 rolling. But using junkyard parts is key, as well as deals. When my mind set is "get it done", it puts everything else on hold.

Haha think it sounds better than my 2.2 flow mastered that the previous owner installed, should be a fun truck when done. I'm down to a few items mounts/headers alt bracket and a trans.

buying a cam based on what it sounds like? i understand wanting to hear a muffler video, but a cam? they all sound cool as long as you get over 220 duration. you can tune them to sound different too. i could could make my old motor sound decently tame, or nasty evil just by playing with the idle rpm and timing.

I agree and disagree lol, don't buy a cam off the sound, if you want sound, get a thumper, that's what they are designed for.

My ht1 cam sounds choppy and aggressive, its a 214/218

this is probably as large as i will go with this motor. i had to cut the intake side .090 to get .070 clearance. the exhaust side clears at min recomended PTV...actually a hair under at .099 but i see tons of guys running tighter. my milled heads with a 2.05 intake valve along with the ls2 flat tops limit me a little on cam size. this motor is running pretty tight clearance wise. otherwise i'd love to throw in a t-rex.

Well.....turns out my mom wanted the old s10 I just got. She has been driving it and wants to buy it from me, so I went a found anther. Better body, only has a banged up fender, otherwise it's pretty straight. Drives just like the other one.

And here is the fender that needs replacing:

So, tons less body work than the other but it did cost more.

Thinking of dropping the 6 liter from the mustang into it, that way I can sit on the mustang till I get the cash for a LY6, L92 and a built 4L80.
