cooling my carb 5.3 s10
I have a 2.5 inch thick dual core all aluminum radiator and need fans the radiator is small so its hard to find dual fans for it. I called jegs and they told me to get this or a setup like this but it seems like the cfm is too low what you guys think? http://www.jegs.com/i/Jegster/550/40534/10002/-1?parentProductId=

Youll be suprised how easy it is to cool these motors. I have a tiny radiator and one fan pulling and have no issues with cooling. That fan looks sufficient but I got one off ebay brand new almost identical to that one for like $40 shipped.

Today I scored a pair of fans that'll snap together and have like a molded shroud there 2 speeders together they flow 4000cfm but only one alone it flows 1500 and doesn't have much of a shroud shud this suffice? And if it wasn't quite enough cud I run it on the pass side of the rad and mount a.pusher on the driver wud this work?

Heres what im using and I dont even run the fan unless im in traffic or doing burnouts.

Just make sure you get the coolant filled and bled good or a hurricane wont cool it.

I am running stock 4.3 radiator with a single 16" fan from oreilly's. 1 year warranty and it was only $86 for the fan. With this fan though, you do have to move the radiator forward if the swap mounts use the 2.8 motor mounts. Engine sits about half an inch too far forward. At least for mine it did.

Interepid fans work great on smaller radiators, and can be found easily at the junkyard. Or mine on ebay new for 90 bucks. They move a ton of air. Chrysler concorde has the same fans too. Fits my s10 conversion radiator nicely. I believe they are 26 X 15 best I remember
Or here is the ford taurus fan on the same radiator. Just know that it blows awesome but draws a lot of amps lol. Its small but is the strongest fan Ive used

Forgot to add, I am using the stock overflow tank as well.. Still bolted to the fender. If it works and it stays out of the way, why not use it?
For me its not about being a fashion show under the hood, its about it working and working well. Might be uglier than my old ***, but it works.

Only pic I had of the taurus fan lol. Long time ago too
Stock overflow tank here too. I took some aquarium rocks and bleach to clean the inside if the tank, outside I used bleach and a scotchbrite pad on the outside. Looks like new. Works fine

I will probaly use a stock third gen camaro radiator and ls1 camaro dual fan setup. With overdrive I have no cooling issues, with double overdrive with the 6 speed, it is even better.

you just connect it to the nipple by the radiator cap, heat and pressure/suction do the rest themselves. I think the top of the overflow has to be the same height as the top of the radiator, but not absolutely certain on that.

Want to see what it looks like and how clearance you still have!

Can’t. Don’t have a picture. I know I mounted it on the outside and wired it backwards because it would not fit on the inside because of the water pump. My last S10, I used 2 ebay 10” low profile fans on the inside with the radiator recessed and had plenty of room.

Thanks.

Do you happen to know the number for that radiator hose?
