What kind of problems did you have with your strokers? Was your sleeves factory, I am building a stroker myself and courious if I can prevent any problems. Thanks.

I was heavily thinking about one of those. But I'll stick with what I have for now. Have not even used the NX 300 kit.

HKE couldn't make one last more than 1,200 miles. lost a cam gear first because it wasn't torqued. I sold it as a fresh HKE rebuild to a buddy and it lost all the main bearings within 1,000 miles. stock bottom 6.0 engines never give me any trouble.

after I had my problems I learned of several skeletons in the HKE closet. it was my big lesson to ignore the internet vender nut swinging and do my own research...

Yup. And if things go right today, I'll be buying a 89 coupe to throw my **** in. Mainly because it already has a 6 point roll bar and is nicer.

It is replacing the gray 80 coupe. The 89 has some things going for it that I won't have to do to the 80. Has tubular A arms, welded axle tubes, 4.10s, 6 point bar. Just a bunch of **** I won't have to do to the 80 to get me ahead. A friend is buying the 80 tomorrow when we get the 89.

Picked the new coupe up tonight. Glad to get it since it has a lot of things I have not had the time, money or interest in doing. Has a rear firewall, the 6 point, welded 8.8 with spool and 4.10s, adjustable shocks, anti roll, caster camber plates, tubular front A arms, the rear lowers seems to be setup to have a instant center, 31 spline axles, things of that nature. 1300$ well spent and the 80 now belongs to my buddy.
