i did a few things this weekend. had to spend a bunch of time getting the house ready as my folks are stopping into town early this week. was kind of a last minute decision so we had a lot of cleaning to do, lol. but anyway the cylinder heads are back on chucky's engine. i need to measure for pushrod length yet. may try to do that this week and get him to order a set.
i also got some work done on this side project. i've just been pushing it in and out of the garage for a few weeks now and i really need to get this one together and gone. ed quay sends their big tube headers just barely tacked to the flanges so you can move the tubes if needed. these didn't need moved, but i did need to cut the flanges apart to allow for individual tube installation. these are big, and they're a tight fit, but they're all done. collector/minibullet mufflers are 3.5" diameter.

got to meet one of my mullet militia facebook admin team members this weekend. he came up from Louisiana.
what he came for? roll bar install he bought the bar and the cage kit i used to put in my car this winter, the install was payment for my kit
kevin cutting out main hoop for final welding
full welded out of car
back in the car and door bars in
all done in one day!
thankfully, that project is all done and weight is lifted. now to get back on the red car...sigh....

no unfortunately i do not have the space to put a proper shop here. i'd need to get something off site. i am a firm believer of things that are supposed to happen, will happen. i'm putting in an awful lot of work but do not currently have a proper business plan since i'm so focused on racing right now. if things look like they will gain momentum with building stuff, then i may refocus and get a proper business model ironed out.

i work for a Case IH Ag equipment dealer. i'm an on-site parts representative. it sounds fancy. it's not. i work that, do side work, and work with my parents business (MotorManiaTV). without my side work, we wouldn't have a racing program at all.

if i do any more than i'm doing, i will need to quite my day job to keep up. if i'm doing this for my 9-5, it will need to be legit. this also gives what i am doing more credibility as well. like i said, i'm at a bit of a turning point. it's hard to keep up with the demand as it is.

I am stressing about wheels for my Lark. I just installed all new Wilwood brakes and my Street Lites don't fit. This is particularly annoying because I like the way they look on there.
Weld RTS wheels will clear the brakes in 15", but I have to choose between S71 polished, S71 black or S77 models. I know the black centers are really popular now, but I am afraid the having black centers on a 15" wheel on a black car will be too dark.
