WU8 is RPO code for the SS performance package and can be found on the options sticker on the door jamb. Also, the link provided above is very helpful; it provides all RPO codes for your vehicle as well as a build date.

Call SLP and they will ask you for the last 7 of the VIN and let you know if it is a true SS! I called the day after I bought mine and was soo happy when I found out it is a true SS!
