Thanks guys. I have had limited use due to the weather, but had it out on a couple of dry days and the handling is great, launches straight, no wheel hop, and is very tight. My 40 year old seatbelts make more noise than my suspension, lol.

If you are considering this kit Adam, you have the ability to lower the car much more than I have it, but I wouldn't recommend it for daily driving. The beauty of this kit is that you have the freedom to adjust up or down.

Found this vid of the same torque arm suspension I have in action.

Thats a great video! I have watched it twice already and will porlly watch it again. That suspension works great it seems. Let it do the work rather than the car like it is supposed to.

Let me try to understand this setup you guys have:
Lower arms from the rear end to the front spring perches are to keep the rear square to the body, the torque arm keeps it from twisting up and the pan hard bar prevents side to side movement? There is nothing on the top side like an additional bars to help the torque arm? If the torque arm broke what would happen? Just curious, as I am now interested in this setup. I am pretty good at suspensions but this one seems different to me. I have seen 3 links, 4 links, ladder bars, and just about everything in between. Any information would be great.

This setup was recommended by a friend of mine and he can explain much better than I. Hard to get a hold of him unfortunately. Hopefully one of the tech guys on here can jump in.

Nice setup! I understand fully now. I am guessing the coil over bracket welds in? and the front torque arm cross member uses the subframe mount?

Yes, the brackets were welded in and the subframe mount was utilized for the torque arm installation.

the front mount goes between the floor and the frame. speedtech torque arm is a very nice set up. i was going to run it in my '69 but i scored a lateral dynamics 3 link instead.

Got this reply from Speedtech regarding enquiry,

"The billet pinion mount as well as the billet steel torque arm pin wrapped in a delrin bushing in the front cross member prevent any chance of upward movement but allow the torque arm to articulate properly. There is no need to have any other bars or structure to prevent that kind of movement and that would ultimately just prevent the vehicle from having a low stance."

Thats good to know! Appreciate that. Makes owning that setup that much more appealing.

Just a quick update and profile pics before and after. Original 15" rallys and now with new 17" rallys with Nitto's. Tried to keep as stock of an appearance as possible.

The new rallyes look great! Who makes them? Di they have a chrome lip or is that a beauty ring? I have some new 15" Wheel Vintiques on my car now and am a little dissappointed about the runout in them.

I agree, good looking Rallys! Do you know if they will clear the LS brake conversion? That is the main reason I will need 17" wheels, wish I could keep the 15" rallys but they will not clear...

Wheel Vintiques as well. They call that ring the hot rod series ring. Its narrow, but just enough to show some chrome. Little difficult to clean under there without taking them off, but happy with the look nevertheless.
