Detroit speed and engineering has a kit, but you gotta notch the frame rails and it can fit up to a 335 tire. I think there is another company that sells a kit also but I forgot the name.

not really related, but how wide of a tire can you fit before you need to do a mini tub setup?

275/60/15 fits nice and still a little room....heard a 295/55/15 fits too. I had 285/60/15 SH McCreary's and they'd rub on a hard turn or off camber bump.

Anywho....your DIY cut & weld job... Cut the floor to the frame, split the wheelwell, add a 2" strip of metal (same guage),weld in,grind smooth,paint/undercoat,and done....2" deeper wheelwell.

P275/60R15 28 X 11.50R15 7.5-9.5 8 11.0 9.5 28.0
P295/55R15 28 X 12.50R15 8.0-10.5 9.5 12.0 10.9 27.8

275 +2" (50.8mm) so "should" be able to get a 325 with a 2" mini-tub.

Can't leave a good thing alone? J/K! Your car would look SWEET with extra meat in the back. If you decide to do this I might be interested in lending a hand I am also considering doing this to my ride. Hope all is going well!!! Here are a couple links to browse:

Im about to install DSE deep tubs in my 69 Camaro... Im going to be running 315-35-17 Nitto NT05Rs but yes should be able to fit up to a 335 tire. I will have 335s later when I get 18" rims.

Install costs will vary depending on location, prices, etc but I believe its something like 35 hrs labor for an install of minitub kit in a first gen. Search around and you should be able to find info on this.

i think 315 is the biggest that will fit on 67-68 and a 335 on a 69. DSE makes the best kit. On our 69 we are moving tubs over ourselves and notching the frame to fit a 335/30

I've done dozens of the DSE mintub jobs and if you know what your doing you can stuff a 345 under it.
