Default what cam

Iv got a 95 Camaro with the motor an trans outta a 00' vette. 6speed, lt headers,4.10 gears an I just bought ls6 heads. I was looking at getting a ms4 or tsp tsunami cam but was wondering if there is a better cam that will get me more power? After this I plan on ls6 intake an then a 150shot last. I drag it quite a bit an I have another vehicle so I'm not worried about mpg. I'd like something that sounds really mean

thanks in advance

I went with a comp cam Lsa 223/231 610 617 in my 99SS...fairly agressive as well street friendly...impressive hp gain. Just depends on what u want in your build...street friendly or drag?

You can call comp cam, and talk to a tecnical support...tell them what your build is and they will give you suggestions on there products as well as package, cam heads, cam value springs&lifters.

if its a drag only car, throw some 4:56 gears in it and get a 24X/25X duration cam, arp hardware throughout the engine, and spin the guts out of it...for a consistent car, get a big stall and and auto tranny.

for an all around "fun" car, one you can drive to the track and in stop & go traffic....stay under that 24X duration.

i was having trouble deciding on a cam and went for the FMS F13. it has great power under the curve and still makes good peak numbers. it is a proven cam, with lots of dyno graphs(if thats what your looking for) and plenty of track time/street time to back it up.

the ed curtis line seems like a winner also(i.e. street sweeper HT), and i like what thunder racing's trutorq line is built to do, but haven't seen enough street time on them yet.

the MS4 or Tsunami would both probably be good cams for what you are looking to do. in the end, everyone can have an opinion, but the cam you choose needs to fit your style of driving, and what you are comfortable living with.
