Haven’t been keeping up. Why the motor out again? Hadn’t it been out a couple times recently?

Nah, this is the first time I took the 427 out. I lost control of the car in a pop up shower and hit a curb, bending the tubular k-member. I wanted to swap the heads/cam and a few other things so I dropped the engine.

Nice progress with some quality kit! I've never seen the SS lines for the coolant system like that.

Replacing the inner tie rod on the passenger side (bent when I hit a curb).

Had to head it up a little with the torch.

New tierod installed.

All back together only to have to disassemble again because I forgot the white plastic cup lol.

Looking good, curious how it runs with the new cam/top end. I'm doing a big inch stroker right now also with similiar cam specs and gm cnc ls3 heads also.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to seeing the new dyno graph and see if it'll be capable of trapping 130 in the quarter.

Got some insulation from a buddy on here. Figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it under the intake.

Fits nicely.

Did you have to do any clearancing of your stock oil pan for the 4.100" stroke crank or rods?

None for the oil pan. Just the usual spacers for the windage tray and notches in the block.

Well, I decided to put the stock kmember in so I can get the car back on the road sooner. Will install a tubular kmember later this year. Bolted the engine back in the car yesterday. My first time installing a stock kmember, wasn't too bad but seemed more of a challenge compared to the tubular ones.

Had to trim a little bit off of the stock kmember to fit the 2" primary headers.

Degreased and cleaned the stock kmember.

Engine assembled.

Kmember trimmed and painted.
