Not a ton of progress, but I installed the gauges/bezel, worked on the remote start wiring, washed the car and pulled the rear bumper cover for cleaning/painting.

Some forward progress, installed the wiper cowl with new weatherstrip, the wiper arms and new wipers. I still need to use some plastic renew, but I needed to get this stuff back on the car.

Thanks for the pics. The reason I say that is I somehow think that my passenger wiper blade position is in the wrong position. I thought so when I first got it, but wasn't positive because I've never had a 4th Gen before. Now looking at yours and how it is lying against the cowl in the "turned off" state, it makes me think someone put mine on a notch or two too high. I think it is off the cowl if I remember correctly. Just looks weird to me ever since I bought it. Now I'm going to have to go home and check it tonight to verify for sure. LOL

Even a little progress is better than no progress (like me).

No problem, if its just the one that is off, I suspect it wasnt put back on correctly... Possibly when the windshield was replaced or other service work. I know, its just frustrating when I have all of these parts to install and havent been making much headway.

Yup...I hear ya. Same here. I have new seals so I can powder coat the calipers, need to adjust my e-brake, need to clean and paint my rear axle, put in a new driver's window motor, a new driver's lock actuator, etc. All this I want to do, but it's so hot and humid and muggy that it isn't worth me sweating to death and getting a headache from being out in the heat. Sigh.

Oh and I just looked at my "walk around" video I have posted of my car and took this screenshot. Definitely not positioned right. You can see it "off" the cowl by probably 2 or 3 ribs of the windshield wiper motor. That is my guess. I also agree that someone probably took it off for something and "guessed" when they put it back on. Ugggghhh.. At least that should be an easy fix. LOL

4th Gen Wiper not aligned properly (pass side)

Ya, that's what I said. LOL I went home last night and pulled the plastic cover, removed the 13mm nut and use a wiper arm puller to pull off the wiper arm. I then cleaned up the threads and such to make sure it was good to go and repositioned the arm so that it is now down next to the cowl where it should be. I put the arm back on, tightened the nut to 17 lb-ft, per the manual, and put the plastic cover back on. I didn't have my phone with me to take a quick picture to compare the two and I was too lazy to go back in and get it. LOL! But at least it looks like yours now. Hehehehe..

Small update; wrestled the dash pad into place, of course I cracked it during the install process... UGH! I also must have a broken clip or something because it wont lay flat by the airbag cover, hopefully I can come up with a solution there.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been focusing on other projects lately... I finally completed the alarm/remote start install and just need to put the dash pieces back together. Next up will be completing the passenger side panels and then moving on to paint work/front brakes.

Really enjoyable thread. Nice to see lots of detailed photos, too. I remember when the 1993 Z28 came out, I loved the look (still do), including the "salad shooters". I wish more of these cars were left stock in appearance.

Thank you very much, I tried to show the steps involved to help others. I really do like the factory exterior of these cars, I dont plan on modifying the look much, mostly just the headlights/driving lights and wheels eventually.

I am finally back to making some progress on the build. I started with pulling the rear bumper support and applying more sound deadening, I may be getting excessive at this point, but whatever...

After that was completed, I moved onto the interior. I removed the radio bezel and adjusted the head unit to fit better inside the bezel. The head unit wasnt pulled out far enough and not quite centered previously. I put everything back together, installed the lower closeout and the lower dash panel. Everything is starting to come together now.

Front brakes are done finally, now I can move on to other things. I didnt bother painting the spindles at this point, they will be done when I work on the suspension and upgrade to C5 brakes.

So I had ordered some premixed paint for the car and decided to check the color match, I think its pretty good. This is without much prep, not color sanding or clear yet.

I have been working on the rear quarter panel, wet sanded, primed and first coat of color. I need to wet sand again and finish the color/clear. It is not perfect and Im surely not a body man/painter.

More paint work, nothing special/perfect/professional, I just wanted some color on the car and seal up the body until I can afford to respray the entire car. I also havent decided if I will change the hood/spoiler, so I am not ready for actual paint yet.
