Default Wiper Problem?

I Recently Bought A 94 Z From One Of My Buddies It Was His College Car Anyway I Also Have A 02 Blackbird Transam But My Problem Is On My Bird The Wipers When You Shut Them Off They Go Down, Then Stop For A Second Than Go On Down Even With The Cowl. ( Which Is What They All Do) Well My On My Z28 When You Shut Them Off They Go Down And Thats It They Dont Go On Down To Where Their Even With The Cowl , I Mean Their Like Down, But Their Not Even With The Cowl ???? Anybody Had This Problem Could It Be A Motor Or Setting Problem Anybody Help Is Very Appreciated Thanks .......brandon

Well sir, it is a distinct possibility that the wiper arms were removed and not put back the proper position. And WHat Is UP WiTH ThE RaNDoM CaPs TyPiNg?

I had that problem on my 95. I would have to make them go on and off a few times before they would properly settle into the correct position.

I never did find out what the deal was before I sold it.
If any one has a clue, I'd sure like to hear it.

Around that time GM got a bad batch of intermittent wiper motors that had cold solder joints on the PC board. There was a recall on the '95 S10 Blazer I used to own and I still need to take my dually in to get the dealer to replace it under the recall.Now if your vehicle is not covered then you can remove the PC board with one torx screw (T15, I believe) and simply hit all the solder connection with a solder gun and new solder. The problem will get worse very slowly over time if not.

my bad.......i had the caps on when i was typing, anyways badjuju342 i figured it might be a wiper motor prob so...........i bought a new wiper motor for pretty cheap so iam going to change it out and see what happens....ill let you know thanks for the info though......i really appreciate it ...

Hey wanted to tell you it was the motor, i swapped it out for a 98 model motor and it works just like new thanks for the info and help!!!!!!
