Default 30th Anniversary '97 z28

Im lookin at a 1997 z28 30th ann. package, it only has 20,000 miles on it.. the guys asking 11,000$.. is this a good price, and does that anniversary package make the car worth anymore money???

Also if i buy the car does anyone know were i can get 4 18" zr1 rims for cheap...

The anniversary package will make the car more desireable and will fetch a better price because of it. The price is pretty decent, but I'm sure you could talk them down a little bit more. As far as 18" ZR1's, they don't exist anywhere that I've ever heard. Ebay is going to be your best bet to find a set of 17's for cheap.

Damn...$11K for a 97 30th! That's a steal! What options does it have? Houndstooth? 6 speed? White or chrome wheels?

There is one here in PC with a lot of miles on it and they want $14K. $11K sounds good to me with those miles on it.

Houndstooth is a pattern of fabric that would be on the seats. It's reminicent of the 69's interior and is pretty desireable

i used to own a 97 and dont be mistaken between a 97 30th anniv. and one with the 30th anniv. package.

all 97s to my knowledge had seats with the 30TH logo but thats nothing special

and to be honest, even if it is the white with hugger orage striped and white houndstooth leather, it isnt all that great of a deal in my opinion.

as for the miles, its probably in great condition so it could be worth the money but look at the ls1's too

That is true. Thats how it was in 92 for the 25th annv., all the camaros had the 25th badge on the dash but the only camaros from 92 that are worth any more ar ethe ones equipped with the heritage package like mine. I hate how nearly every 92 i see for sale says 'special 25th anniverisary car' when its just a regular RS or something.

Well seeing that I have a 92 Heritage Z/28, 2 non Heritage 92 Z/28's and a 92 1LE I have to take issue with that statement. The Heritage edition on a 92 Camaro was nothing more than a stripe kit and a rear hatch emblem. Wooptidoo! If the car is an RS, it will never bring the money a Z/28 will bring regardless of the options it posesses.

I dont care what you think...Its fact. Go to NADA and look up the value of a Heritage Z28 or RS versus a regular 1992 Z28 or RS....the value is nearly double!!! The heritage package might have only been a $175 option but it adds alot of value. Same thing goes for 93 Pace car camaros--a $500 option from the factory makes it worth double a regular 93 Z28 now.

You don't actually believe that NADA stuff do you? Go to Thirdgen.org and check out what Heritage cars go for. That's where you'll find your facts. BTW - Please don't compare other special edition cars to Heritage cars in order to validate your point. Instead, show me an example of a Heritage car which sold for double what a similarly conditioned non Heritage car sold for. YOU CAN'T!!!!

I'd agree that a heritage car isn't worth much at all, especially the RS version. It'll take the right buyer to be looking for one to pay any more money for one. Joe Schmoe looking for a third gen isn't going to give a crap about it.

Go on Ebay if you dont believe me. I am not saying its logical but i am saying its true. It happens all the time. The heritage cars consistently go for thousands over a regular 92. It usually isnt double, but its CONSIDERABLY more. You people need to chill the **** out.

Example One- Green Heritage RS- 129k miles- Bids are already at $4300 with 7 days of auction left. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-...QQcmdZViewItem

Example two- Green Regular RS- 135k miles- Asking price--$3200. They'd be lucky to get $2500 for the car. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...en&cardist=792
__________________________________________________ ______________________
I could find more examples..but i dont feel like sorting through the endless array of autotrader listings. That and alot of people have astronomical asking prices for heritage cars on autotrader..and you never know exactly how much they truely sell for.

Raise the BS flag now.
