Default Recommendations for a mail order tune

My car-2000 Camaro SS, auto, only mods are whisper lid and cutout. I'm going to get a mail order tune, but I would like to know what particulars to request.

1. What should I have my shift points/rev limiter set at?

2. Should I increase the tranny line pressure?

3. I've fought the battle with torque management on my Silverado, but do these cars have it, or have it as bad? If so, what is a good/safe percentage to take out?

4. What else should I ask for in particular?

Thanks guys.

I honestly don't know why I ask questions on this board.

Go to PCMforless.com and contact them. They know what they're doing

I'll second that, they have some really great dyno numbers from their mail order tunes.

1. Leave them stock. It does no good to shift any higher with the stock cam.
2. I wouldn't go too high....I'd have them lower the amount of timing taken out with torque mgmt and decrease shift times, maybe up pressure to 95%??
3. See #2
4. Figure out if you ever plan on deleting emissions equip in the future (egr, air, rear o2's) before you send it in so you can have those trouble codes deleted. Reprogram stock fans to come on sooner.

What he said.

Also, keep in mind Bryan requires a 160* thermostat for his tunes.

If I were you I would wait. In the near future you may want to add a cam, nitrous, etc. A PCM tune with your mods, in my eyes, wouldn't be worth the money.

Wait until youre ready to step up and do a cam, and possibly heads on your car. Then, give Jeremy Formato at Formato's Fasterproms a call, he'll help you get it all set-up.
