4th Gen Camaro: Muscle Car or Sports Car?

Yep,...Definitely Muscle!
The 4th Gens seem to be both actually.
It just depends on the Personality of the person building up the car.
It can definitely fall into both catagories though.
Stock-Sports cars
Adding... Exhaust/Heads & Cam/LTs/Meat.... MUSCLE CAR!
Seem to have more of them set up for Muscle than they have left as Stock

Those are actually a Custom set of American Racing "Full Polished" TT-II's
that I bought over 2 years ago.
******Wheels---A.R. TT-II's
Rears----17 x 11"
Fronts---17 x 9.5"
******Tires---Michellin Pilot Sports
Rears---335/35/17
Fronts--285/40/17
Recently, I sent them to a local shop and had the centers and the complete
inside Powder Coated in a High Wet-Gloss Black. Then, to top them off, I
ordered a set of American Racings Billet Aluminum "Knock Off" Spinners to
commemorate a little Old School. I'm going to try to post up some pics
within the next couple of days. Interior/Exterior/Mod Shots/Track Pics.....
Guess I'll have to do it under a New Thread.

id say its both. a sports car is any high performance vechicle. and a muscle car is like a sub division of a sports car. just like a european exotic would be classfied a sports car, or an(hate to say it) import ex. supra, skyline is a type of sports car. a sports car is build for speed and handling, and that what a muscle casr is as well. we just perfer to do it nastey!!! god bless the sound of an american v8.

However, during the span of 4th gens, a 350 is pretty damn big for the era.
Actually, even the overall size of the car compared to the market average is totally different than it was in the 1st gen years. Back then, an F-body was small compared to most cars. During the 4th gen years, they are more like a midsized car than anything.
As for muscle car vs performance car, I guess that's just about opinion. Personally I consider all V8 F-bodies muscle cars for their respective eras. I think the definition of "muscle car" changes somewhat from era to era. Actually I don't even consider the '64-'72 cars to be the "first" muscle cars; there were factory hot rods before '64, but people just didn't classify them under the muscle car term back then.
My personal definition of "muscle car" is pretty broad. V8 isn't always necessary (I consider an '87 Grand National a muscle car) and coupe body style isn't always necessary ('96 Impala SS). Only things that are required are RWD, 4 seats, and domestic manufacturer IMO; everything else is a gray area.
