Default Commercial Idea for the new Camaro

Well I originally posted the idea over at http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=30606 for a commercial to introduce the new Camaro to the public when it's finally in production (we all know it will happen ).

Anyways I thought it would be pretty cool to start with a wide shot of some docks with import cars driving off a few ships. After a half dozen or so cars have made it off the ships they all come to a screeching halt, bust a nut and go racing back onto the ships. The camera turns to reveal a Camaro sitting on the docks looking all pissed off like the 4th pic down on the above link. On page 6 a guy adds more to the idea and it starts sounding like an amazing commercial.

Anyways just wondering what some die hard sports/muscle car fans think.

It's not fair, GM is stealing photo ideas from me (see sig). The commercial does sound like a very good idea though.

Better make it an s2000, an evo and a sti to get the F'ing point across.

I'd have the Camaro literally ***-raping the ricers, then show a ricer leaking some red fluid after it's been reamed. Then the slogan "you should have gotten a bigger exhaust tip" comes on. Your commercial would kick *** too. I'm sick of all these "show the car driving around and then say visit your local _____ dealer" commercials.

the plastic does look cheesy, but I absolutely love how clean the engine compt. looks. I think Id ditch the plastic stuff they have and get a set of frc's just to subtly cover the wiring and call it a day.

Awesome commercial idea man....

And about the plastic. This really proves how you CAN NOT please all of the people all of the time. You put no plastic (4th gens) and people are going out of there way to get fuel rail covers on...Give them covers for everything so it looks clean and people are talking about how its the first thing they are gonna take off...

I would let it be.Looks different and clean...

But when its YOUR CASH going into YOUR CAR...Have at it!

^^ no kidding, I don't think GM would mind, as long as ppl are buying it....

I'm split 50/50 - I like that it covers the wiring, but don't like that it covers some of the engine.

I doubt even half of that plastic covering will make it to the production Camaro.

I'm sure if you tell the dealership to take off the plastic or your not buying it they'll be glad to pull it off.
