Default Problem with B&M shifter in 4th gen

I put a Pro 5.0 in my 00 SS and loved it. Put a B&M in my 02 Z06 and still love. I've driven several Hurst equipped cars and thought they were sloppy. The Hurst that came in the 02 ZL-1 was sloppy so I got a B&M again because it had worked well in the Z. This B&M is looser than a $2 *****. How could the one in the Z be so good and this one sucks?

I haven't looked into adjusting it and I don't remember my last one having adjustments. How could this one be so sloppy?? I see me ordering a Pro 5.0 real soon unless someone has a better idea.

Hmmmmmmmm...my Ripper was just fine (and has been to this date). Maybe you got a defective one?

This thing is sloppy. It is worse than the OE shifter. I got the car back Fri. so have not run it hard...only 60 miles. But I can really feel the power but the shifter has to go. Looks like I'm gonna have a ripper and a Hurst. Anybody wanna swap two for one?

It's installed right. In fact, I'm not sure you could install it wrong. I wonder if it has an adjustment?

Well ain't that a FN peach. Works great in a Z06, sucks in a catfish. I wonder what the world record for - "Ripper shifter, length of toss" - is? But first I'm gonna beat it like a $2 *****.
