Default How stripped can a Camaro get?

What's the most basic version? Cloth, hard top, manual windows? Would we have any numbers for the volume of 'strippers' produced? I guess I should specify that I'm talking about '98+ (LS1) Camaros only, although if a stripper LT1 is going to be common, I'm open to hear about it.

Don't know about production numbers, but yea you could cloth interior, hardtop, no power options, M6, and H rated tires. I think you could also get radio delete, but I have never seen one.

Chevy didn't keep very good production numbers for the stripper model Camaros. Most people think the 1LE is the lightest, but that isn't true. The stripper models had thinner swaybars, so technically they are lighter

Basically, they were hardtop Z28s with cloth interior, non-power seat, no foglights, no CD player (most had AM/FM cassette), no rear window defroster, manual windows and locks. Bare bones for sure. They could be bought in A4 or M6 tranny.

I'm not necessarily interested in finding the lightest Camaro. I just have a KISS philosophy and don't need all the bells and whistles. Less weight would just be a bonus that comes with it. I forgot about the 1LE cars. Are they rare? I guess there's probably 1LE specific websites out there. Although being 1LEs, they might carry a higher price premium over just a stripper model.

my camaro only has a monsoon sound system as an added option. No rear defrost, no foglights, no electric locks/windows, cloth, no power seats, no Hurst shifter, etc.

Nineball- did the 1SC cars (like mine) actually come with smaller sway bars? If so it would make sense for me to buy some aftermarket ones.

I have a 2002 Z-28 b4c. The only option is a hurst. The thing doesn't even have a trunk button. Now that is stripped. I looked up the production numbers and they only made 62 in black. It does have the monsoon, but to my knowledge that was standard in 02.

Just a Litle FYI tooting my own horn, but i have a 98 SS 1LE with only the few options, Rear defroster, Monsoon CD, A/C, and that's about it. So...the Aftermarket vaccum style cruise i have is pretty nice on the long trips! Yeah, I'm not necessarily light, but it can be made that way, this suspensino is HEAVY! wish 1le.net hadn't killed over but haven't been able to get on there since the first week i got my car, and now i can't get on there. It might work now but it went down, ltos of good info there. And jsut a little more info on 98SS 1LE's... There's only 3, and I own the only one that went to SLP! Matt Murphy has the Black one and I'm still looking for the owner of the silver one.

i have a 99 1le and theres no underhood light (but i am pretty sure its that way for all SS's, basically it has monsoon, hurst, leather seats, defog and block heater are standard in canada, power door locks and door mouldings.

you cant get radio delete, cause i tried. also tried to get power brake delete, power steering delete, A/C delete. i wanted a motor tranny rear end and glass.

my door sticker says it weighs 3432lbs.

02 Z28 M6 manual windows, locks, seats. No cruise, foglights, ASR, trunk release button. Hardtop with monsoon CD player, rear defrost, Hurst shifter& leather seats. It weighed 3380lbs. With 5300 miles on it & the factory 245 50 16 goodyears it ran 13.3 @ 110 2.1 60' dynoed 330RWHP & 360RWTQ on a mustang dyno. Damn I miss that car.

I now have a 2000 Stripper SS all manual with cloth seats. I'm trying to sell.

in 93 camaro's/TA's had a small build number with being plain jane with no ac/radio,power locks, defrost maybe other things. i read this years.... ago in one of my first GM High Tech magazines. a yellow formula was the car they had a article about. which yellow was a rare color as it was.

I should weigh mine, it's an M6 hardtop with cloth seats, power windows (which are lighter I guess...I don't know if I believe that), I have cruise, but no traction control. Drivers seat is power and I have foglights...I'd have to take the stereo stuff out of the back to get a good idea of what it's factory weight was though.
