Good ? does anybody know?
If it wasn't answered yet, all 'ss cars went thru slp after they were assembled at the gm factory. SLP finished the cars with the hood, spoiler and index number. The cars that had additional content received a second sticker and the y2y code.

Sorry for the poster that this happened. I have heard of this happening before. It is ashame that you are friends with the dealer, but the dealer is obligated to provide you with what was advertised or a full refund. You have a legal recourse, so you should pursue it. Why should you have to bear the grief of getting ripped off? IMO a Z is no less of a camaro than the 'SS but not getting that car, and in addition to it being lied to, is too much just to let it go.

A Carfax would not have helped because it will show a Z/28 either way. And yes, all SS LS1s are "SLP" cars. Mine does not have the additional (Y2Y) content but is an SS with the WU8 code and SLP did have records of my car and the build number.

I think you can call the number on the web site www.slponline.com and they can connect you to the right place.

Does the paperwork you signed when you bought it say SS? What about the tittle/registration? Just wondering how to prove you thought you were buying an SS OTHER than the badging in case you have to take legal action...

The title will say z28.

When you run the vin it will come up as z28 coupe, vert, ect.

All SS's are z28s w/ SS package.

They left the factory as z28s.

The only thing that would say SS is the sale add or the window sticker the people might have put on the car. Thats where he has to get them.
