Default new times for my stock ss

Well i went to Silver Doller raceway this weekend in south ga for the fbody shootout. I was pretty pleased with the times i put down, I run consistent 13.13-13.16 @ 109.34 mph. My best 60' time was 2.091 and hit the 1/8th in 8.58 @ 85.54 mph. The car is a bone stock 02 SS with the slp 345hp package which is a lid and dual dual exhaust. I was wondering if anyone else has had a bone stock ss hit a 109 trap speed?? I didn't think she would do it. I believe if i was a little better at driving the car i could have hit 12's. Oh and these runs were on the crappy goodyear f-1's that was on it from the factory. Its a little tricky launching the m6.

Good luck on the mid 13's, you should be able to get it depending on the track you will be running at.

its pretty good, track was like ice the first couple of passes though, but when it warmed up it hooked alright, cant really tell a difference though between it and atl dragway in commerce. Its worth a try though.

Sounds good. I've done the oil and oil filter. I suppose plugs and wires would be a good idea also, since my car also has a million miles (107k lol)

Do them man even if you have to pay someone and dont go cheap on the plugs buy ac delco factory platinum plugs and wires that will be the best mod you could do to your car.

Nice #s .... you could probably squeeze a little more out of it under the right conditions. Alot of people end up running mid-high 13's and some even run 14's (driver exp. I guess? elevation? , etc.) ........ keep trying , you may hit 12's

sure if your trying to run best ETs bone w/o bolt-ons. i changed my plugs at 50K miles (stock plugs are not 100K mile plugs!!!) and 2nd gear felt like 1st!!! and i had my car dyno tuned on stock plugs at 35K miles... i'm sure i'm up a few more rwhp with plugs that aren't burnt.

Seeing as how my 99 WS6 only ran a 14.1 (slow R/T's and even worse 60's), I'd say you're doing pretty well.

My elevation is 4500 though; which if I were at sealevel (or in houston) I would have been able to pull about a 13.2..

Oh well.

i agree... i don't like using aftermarket MAFs. had a bad exp. w/ a granatelli MAF. worked great for about 1k miles or so, then my WOT lagged! i put the stock back on and WOT was normal. do yourself another favor after you return the SLP MAF, port your own MAF ends and TB... much better and loads cheaper...
