Default Z27?

I've heard of a Z28, of course. but i was chatting with an older man about his 69 camaro he used to have and was telling me it was a Z27. he said the only difference was it had flip up head lights and the 28 didn't. anyone else know of this?

I think that the flip up head light option was part of the rally sport package, but I've never heard of a z27. The old mad was crazy.

and option code Z22 was the Rally Sport option for the vacuum-operated concealed headlamps. Maybe he thought the 2 was a 7?

oh okay thanks, i thought he might have had bits and pieces of memory, lol, but like i said i thought it sounded a little far-fetched. however now that someone said it i do recall reading in a book once that the SS package was a Z27 like KATE S S said.
