Default Magnaflow or LM2 Catback? HELP!!

I will be getting a catback in about 2 weeks (I'm on a tight budget so all I can afford for now is either the Magnaflow or LM2) and I want to hear your opinion on which one to buy. Which one performs better on the dyno?? Basically which ones shows more HP gain on a pretty much stock 2000 Z28 (All i've got is a Lid and a TB bypass). Also I will be getting LTs and an ORY in the future. True Duals are out of the question since I dont want to change the setup. This is my daily driver and will be for a while and I dont want a setup that will get too much attention from cops. Any suggestions?? thanx guys.

I asked the same question over at ls1.com and the responses are overwhelming towards the magnaflow...someone also suggested the hooker catback system...does anyone here have it or knows anyone that has it?? I would really like some more info on it

I don't understand the love for Magnaflow. Sounds great but looks terrible on f-bodies. If you are a do-it-your-selfer, a torch is a must! Definitely not a bolt on!

I am a big Magnaflow fan. I had Magnaflow on my old GTP, and also on the Z now.

No torch was needed here for installation. However, I did have 3.5" cut off the tips but we used a hacksaw for that. I love the MF, can't beat the value of it.

go to ls1sounds.com

you can listen to the different setups. and decide what you prefer.

of the ones i listened to, (trying to keep it exhaust modification only, i.e. no cam) i prefered the pacsetter longtubes, with the ory, and the loudmouth.

they say that the lm2 is a little quieter than the lm1. so i figure with the lt's, and ory, it'll be perfect.

so i say lm2.
