Me and my dad just bought a 69 camaro... we're probably making it a drag car or an extremely bad *** cruiser... If you had the chance what's the meanest most powerful setup you would build to put in a 69 camaro?

LSX w/ T-56, absolutely. Maybe an Air Ride suspension or a Hotchkis TVS or something like that... but I'm a big fan of the "Pro-Touring" look, you may not be.

I'd go with a BB because as wonderful as the LS style engine are their normal head design(with emissions mind) will never beat the huge canted valves of a big block in flow. You can buy after market heads that will flow over 400cfm stock with no head work at all for a BB chevy.

The most radical all alloy, injected (maybe even I.T.B.s) big block you can find, with a cam that just barely idles, but can still push 850+ to the wheels on pump gas NA!! Build it as light as possible (NO blingpimp I.C.E. or other "G" ****!!) put a Tranzilla T56 (or a Richmond) behind it, with a built Dana 60 or lightened 9" and go out hunting for Poopras/imports!!

Depends on what you really want to do with it.
If it will see more racing time, built something dependable that can take the racing abuse (I'd go N/A just for the repeatability factor here). Either SBC or BBC (remember the BB will weigh a good 200 lbs more over the nsoe, which may make traction harder to obtain) coupled to a 2 or 3-speed tranny.
If it will be a street/cruiser with a little track time, I'd go LS powerplant with a blower or turbo, or (what I'd like to build) a SBC with a blow-through Procharger. Couple it to a 5 or 6-speed stick, and the fun (and tire roasting) won't end! The shop that does my engines just finished a 383 SBC with a 12 lb procharger on pump gas. Through a carb and TH400 trans, 612 rwhp!![EEK !!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_eek2.gif)
Good luck, and post some shots!
