More horsepower to a 02 V6?
I want to add more horsepower to my 02 Camaro V6. I already have a K&N cold air intake and an SLP Loudmouth exhaust. I want to add more but at the moment I am inbetween jobs and trying to save money. What can I do?

And yeah I have a auto. I wish I could swap to a manual but thats retarded and might as well drop a v8 into it but thats too much and its a v6 so why change that. I wanna make this as powerful as possible because Im gonna keep this car for a while. I was thinking twin turbo but i dont know if thats smart or not.

I thought of that when i had my '00 V6 Camaro and then i found out the blower won't fit under the cowling and the filter would enter from the back and would almost certainly require some seriosu fabrication to make work. You'd be better off taking out the 3800, lowering the compression and building it for boost. Stock you aren't gonna be abe to run that high of boost. The 3800 is Knock prone as well so watch out for that. It can be done, it's just a harder platform to start off with unless it's boosted from the factory. You could do a turbo kit and be done with it.

have the people in this thread make me laugh!
Listen, I had a turbo 98 Camaro....bone stock motor with only 20k On it. I had a turbonetics T72 pushing 15-17psi daily...put about 20K of hard, boosted miles on it...and didnt have a problem other then my transmission taking a ****. The 3.8 Motors are strong as hell and dont let these comments steer you away..your best bet for making nice power, is a turbo setup.
Where are you located? I have built 4 different style turbo kits for the 3.8's...if your local, I dont mind setting something up.

This guy said he is in between jobs. It doesn't sound like he is going to have the money for an ls1 swap or a turbo and everything that goes along with boost.
OP, you might want to give everyone some kind of idea on how much you are willing to spend on the car. IMO it will take a lot of time and money to make that v6 fast. For most people it is more cost effective to save up and buy an LS1 car. If you don't have much money to put into it you will probably end up unhappy with the results and out money that could have went towards something else.
