Question Bosch Relay Connectors, Looking For Large Wire Versions...

Wiring up the usual double electric fan set-up. Am using the usual 30 amp Bosch relays. All the Bosch relay connectors I find, have really small gauge wires coming out of them. Anyone know where to buy connectors, with pigtail wires coming out of them, with larger gauge wires? I believe the fans call for a 10 gauge supply wire, for instance. Thanks for any help on this.

I bought a 4 relay housing that came with the relay spade connectors without wires connected. I know I crimped 12 g. wires on it and 10 g should fit too.
Painless and a few other companies make them.

Look at Waytekwire, they should have the sockets and the crimp connectors
They also have some nice 70 relays with the 3/8" wide terminals on them, the only thing wrong with those is they don't come in SPDT, so you can't wire your fans for Series / Parellel using them

The junkyard is your friend here.

I pulled a (3) relay setup with a 50 amp fusible link (probably 70 amp working load ???) out of a Toyota Corolla. Re-pinned the connections and molded into my existing setup. Waterproof, factory looking integration but is rewired to work the factory setup and it works "fan"tastic.

I think I paid $5 for it. It looks great too.

Being a scrounger I do like Nashty's idea. If that is not an option, Search for Bosch relays on EBAY.

I used the 4 gang relay box from Haywire, Inc. The block comes with relays, cover, and pins; their catalog photo shows it with wires (?). Nevertheless you can crimp whatever wire you need. Here's a photo of my fan relay setup; the 4th relay is for the fuel pump.

they have blank crimp connectors also. I find it much cleaner to repin the wires than using pigtails.

a couple of other options

JY for mine. Late 90's 3.8L minivans have the good oval relays and 3 large ga sockets per center (5 relays). Plenty enough for an IGN and dual fan setup

New kits require a terminal specific to the relay socket. Check out mouser.com for what you need. There's a bazillion different terminls
