Default New times with the LS1 mustang

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The car is a 93 coupe with a 98 motor/trans. It has full exhaust, TSP225 cam, Yank 3600 and a 3.73 gear.

the cars previous fastest pass was 11.88@115 on the motor.

Today it went 11.65@116.73. The sixty foot was about i full tenth faster then it has gone before. 1.65 on the motor and 1.51 on the button.

On the button it went 10.86@124 (MY FIRST 10 SECOND PASS) its the only full nitrous pass as it has never felt right. It still only picked up 8MPH on a 150 shot so it still isnt right. I need to get the tune checked and put my fuel pressure and bottle pressure gauges on it before i hurt something. I think it should pick up 12-15MPH so hopefully i can get a 10.50 out of it.

Overall a great day, the 4 cylinder driveshaft and stock 4L60e didnt come flying out and drove it home

Wish I would have walked around more on Sunday, I would have liked to have looked at your car. We could of had a good match race I went 10.85@122. Congrats on your run looks like a pretty mild combo.

Which car/truck was yours? Do you have a pic because i walked around alot looking at different cars. I was parked in the NE corner of the track, where the side road intersects the main.

If you are not on there yet you should go onto Need2speed.com. a bunch of cool guys that dragrace alot. they have a track rental coming up soon at Bradenton.

I had the Sunset Orange and Silver S10. Are you going to be running this weekend?

I watched a bunch of your passes. Very clean truck you have. I was on the border of ordering Billet Specialty wheels so i was thinking i made the wrong decision looking at yours.

Are you on the motor?

Isnt this weekend the Drag Radial Race?

It has a ZZ4 crate motor with larger GMPP hydraulic roller cam in it and a 150 shot. It sounds a lot faster than it is. This weekend is the outlaw drag radial race but they also have some heads up index races. 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 and I think 7.5. I am going back over for the weekend to help out a friend of mine that had the Drag Radial Dakota there on Sunday.

Was that the blackish colored one with holeshot stars on it? if so i watched him once or twice. I should be there on sunday to watch. i would like to try some of these 7.50 classes but i dont have any safety equipment and i am not sure what is required.

I am Rich, if i am there (i should be if i am not too hung over from a party saturday afternoon) i will stop by and say hi. i will let you know when the track rental is. for 40 or so bucks there are only 85 people running, and all MUST be on drag radials or slicks so the track prep is pretty good. Good luck to your friend.

Thats the truck. For the 7.50 class I believe a driveshaft loop and a helmet are all you need.

Shoot me a PM on the track rental.
Thanks

The truck ran really well all weekend, he went out in the third round when he had to pedal it to keep it off the bumper. In all it was a good weekend, qualified in the top 32, went some rounds, got a check and the truck drove in the trailer under its own power. He is going to run Orlando this weekend. Are you going there?
