I'm sick of the diesel noise and lack of highway speed. Plus diesel is about $1.00 more per gallon. I was thinking it might not be that bad because I already have an electric throttle... I don't know if hydraboost would be better or worse.

Where you located at I'll take the stinky/noisy torque monster diesel! Your better off getting a Gm 99-07 truck it would be way cheaper!

I'm in NJ and the 6.5 TD isn't that much of a torque monster.

I don't think a 99 to 07 would be cheaper. It would be at least $10k for a higher mileage one. I only have $3k into my suburban and I'm sure there is someone out there that wants a good running 6.5 motor and turbo. Also, I don't really like the newer body style.

You will have 3k just in the swap!

This is a gas one

But yours will need a new torque converter, gas gauge cluster, some way of keeping the PCM for brakes etc, and clean flush tank/ add fuel pump and lines. Not to mention just the swap stuff, mounts, harness, and motor!

Look on E-bay **** SUV's have went to hell price wise. I seen several for under 10 with 100k miles.

If its a diesel burb' sell it you can get well over $3000 for it!

Thanks for the PDF. I figure 5k to 6k for a low mileage 6.0 swap. My suburban is pretty mint and I can get ~$1,500 for my 6.5 so I think I would make out ok.
