how hard is it to make the truck harness from the lq4 stand alone?

Default how hard is it to make the truck harness from the lq4 stand alone?

???? any help . i know ill have to send out the pcm

"How hard" is relative. I dont think it is, but I have a degree in electronics.

Its more time consuming than anything. If you prepare yourself with the proper tools and documentation it can be done with patience.

I will say that you be in a much better position to troubleshoot down the road if you do it yourself. You will learn a ton more than just snapping in a new harness.

i love hacking up harness and would like to know some of the same info. i can pull wiring diagrams and so forth here at work. i guess a question that i would have is do you just cut/remove circuits that are not needed? is there a list of the circuits that you remove?

k pulled the 05 k2500 pcm diagram. im going to guess these are the ones to cut/remove from the harness
? mark next to ones not sure of
pin on blue connector
going man trans

13 torq signal requested?
14-15 UART serial data?
17-18 trans pressure switch sig a&b
25-26 02 low sig bank 2 sen 1&2
32 trans range sensor
33 trans cruise brake
34 trans range switch signal
35 cpp switch sig?
53 low ref (a/t)
54 low ref? assuming for a/t trans
65-66 high sig for both bank 2 02 sensors
70 low oil switch signal
72 trans range switch b a/t
79 3-2 shift sol

green connector

3 fuel pump relay control-secondary
5 delivered tq signal?
6 pc solenoid valve high cont a/t
8 " "b
16 4wd low signal
18 clutch start switch sig? do you add it if its an auto pcm?
19 axle switch sig 4wd
20 vss signal low
21" " high
22-23 AT ISS low and high sig (mt1)
26 27 28 29 IC 1,7,6,4 control
34 evap canister purge sol
42 tcc valve control
45 evapcanister vent solenoid control
47-48 2-3, 1-2 shift sol valve cont
51 tft sensor sig (a/t)
53 bank 2 heater cont
54 fuel level
62-63 trans range and press
66-69 IC 8,2,5,3 control

this is what i can see that i could live with out
any help would be great

I wouldn't say it's that hard, as long as you have the correct PCM Pinout Diagram, you can run the Wires to where they need to go.

Me personally if I was puttin in a new Engine, I would strip the Harness down, and then plug the Connectors into the proper places on the Sensors that I was running, then group the Wires for everything and run them clean, then tape it up.
