Default More fuel system ?'s and options

Hey guys, Im trying to figure out what would be the best and cheapest way to run my fuel system. I was wondering if its possible for me to use dorman quick disconnect fittings (1st pic) connected directly to Jegs Push-loc hose (2nd pic)? I would say ALOT of money on fittings this way which is why I obviously ask.

You can use 5/16" fuel line hose from discount auto parts with that adapter, should save you some money.

Dont I need 3/8" for my main line? Basically all I need to know is if this dorman type fitting will work instead of using the push-loc type from summit or jegs.

I would worry about mixing stuff like that. Would really suck to have things age a bit and come apart a year from now. Chances are it will be the pump output that goes too.

Maybe if you measure the two fittings and convince yourself they are exactly the same size.

I see the idea isnt too popular . The quick disconnect russel fittings, and all the push-loc fittings say 50 ps1 max but yet a bunch of people use them..

Rubber hose won't pass tech at the track, if you ever decide to go. You must have less than 12" of rubber fuel line on the car. And I wouldn't try to skimp on the fuel system; one f#*$ up is all it takes. I seen it a hundred times. But for now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product...

Besides all of that, what would be my most reliable and cost efficient way of getting fuel from my tank to the fuel rail?

I like good old fashion hard line with barrel nuts, then go ss braided or a push lok style hose from the body/frame to the QD's at the rails.

Here is an update. If you are using the corvette filter with the feed/return you can go to napa and punch in these two part #

730-4926 for 5/16 push lock (return)
730-4927 for 3/8 push lock (feed)

Can these be used with jegs push-loc hose?

A while back someone posted a link to a vendor that sells fuel injection connectors. Anyone? I tried to search but couldn't find it.

hey, fyi - push-loc hose is not for use with gasoline (check the desc. on jegs' website). go with the 200 or 350 series braided hose.

Doh!, I was going to use the JEGS stuff too, but the Aeroquip "socketless" version fine Oh, and it's good to 250 PSI.
