Default fuel rail covers on a carb intake?

Any mounted those plastic fuel rail covers when using a vic jr. carb intake? Just looking to cover up these coils and make the engine compartment look cleaner.

would probably look weird since the covers have curves on the inside to go with the manifold

the covers are molded for use with a ls type intake manifold.
perhaps some home made covers made from polished sheetmetal
would look better anyway. most hardware stores sell sheets in diff. dimensions

Here is one from a car show I went too. I believe this is the best picture I have. IMO, pretty ugly. (Though I dont really like them to begin with) To each his own.

(Sorry its the best pic I have, hope it helps)

The best cover I have seen was a set of sbc valve covers with holes cut in the sides for the plug wires to go through and they mounted right over the top the stock valve covers and coils.

Very hip. I've thought about the sheet metal idea also. I've smoothed mine will hide the coils somewhere.

so did u weld in the holes after grinding down the posts?
i did the same thing but filled in the left behind holes with epoxy, i also filled in the cheannels that run across the center for a tru smooth look.

Yes there welded up but the welding caused some more pin holes so I might try your epoxy idea when I go and touch them up.

i was going to paint a glossy black or even carbon fiber print,
so i epoxied everything. also ground down the stock rubber and modified bolt and used a allen bolt and washer instead.
going to do a write up on the mods. the covers are painted black now,
they look like aftermarket smooth covers now
