Are those headers ceramic coated? In the pictures it looks like they are fading. Is that just the pictures or are they starting to lose their shine?

Some 2010 Updates.

Suspension is all set. Waiting on Precision Fabrications 6 point Cage, and new floor pans.

Speed updates, looking at bolting on FAST 90 Intake Ported, and Ported 90MM LS2 throttle body.

We will hit the track with these upgrades, and then going to get the 243 heads ported out and then go back to the track.

Already got it sold to a friend with a 98 corvette. Wanna see how much the car improves at the track just with Intake.

Thanks

We got a few changes going on before our next track rental April 16th @ Atco Raceway.

6pt Chrome Moly Cage with swingouts

Fast 90/90 Ported Intake installed

Looking to install 1 7/8 Headers (Hopefully)

Install new floorpans, secure body to chassis

Everything else should be kept the same.

Since the 1st time at track we installed coilovers up front and HR anti-rollbar in the rear.

We will see, updates to follow after april 16th.

Give me a text. When your around. I got few issues with the car. WE swapped LS6 back onto car for now. Just got a set of 1 7/8 headers coming this week.

Was out doing some testing and the car wouldn't burn out, just load right up.

Gotta go back to the shop maybe thursday and see what we can do with changing the tune and parameters.

Its drives and runs fine, issue is only off the launch---whiplash after that.

BRP is sending me a set of 1 7/8 Long Tube headers ----

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++

My Goal is testing out what size header makes the better power, what intake makes better with which header, and what heads will make the best power with it all.

I am looking to get too 500 RWHP which should put me well into the 10's

Cool those are the ones I am looking at buying for my setup. Car is coming along great and should really rip on the track. Are you shooting for 10's on the radials? Everytime I look in this thread it makes me motivated to get my car done as soon as possible.

Sure Thing! Guys going 6's in the 1/4 on Mickey Drag Radials!

the car should get 1.3-1.4 60ft times that should bump us into the 10.98's and with a couple new surprises hopefully we can knock that down just a bit more.

I would be happy with 10.50's on the motor and then with 100 shot could jump into the 9's.

FWIW, I have had to do a LOT of modification on these headers, as well as on my car to get them to fit.

Most frustrating, is that the headers wouldn't even pass the 'ear' of the transmission bell housing on the passenger side on my 4l60e!

WELL Guys! No Good News bomb Here!! Motor with pushing 600 Crank Hp Blew Up on Monday.

Here are pictures of the aftermaths.

Changes we made, bigger cam 228/240 with 598/608, fast intake, 90mm throttle body, trick flow 220 as cast with some hand work and 1 7/8 headers which only made us pull motor back 1 1/2" due to the shorty headers we had on the car before.

Maybe i should mention we were doing a test pass on the street 116 mph @ 6,000 rpm it let go. According to the data log.

Maybe we will build a LS2 427 Stroker Motor. with same heads, and maybe a carb set-up. Only time will tell.
