I don't think there is any stock position, i had to drill my mounts out. I set my tranny crossmeber and then drop motor down first time and then when i bolted long tubes in, we had to pull it back to where they just fit around the a-frame mounts(very tight)
Hoping to get it baack up and running by the spring/summer time.

Awesome thread, shame it took me so long to find it. Seen the car on MR.com but never found a build thread over there. Couple questions:
1. How do you like the digital dash? I was going to order mine last week, but I ordered the Pacesetter F-body headers, some ARP head bolts, and Katech rod bolts instead
2. Interested in selling the intake elbow and air filter assembly? I've got a black P&P'd TB w/ matching MAF, and have been looking for a really clean intake tube and I think a powdercoated black one exactly like yours would pull it together nicely. I've seen the ones online sold individually but yours looks 10000 times better. I'll even be happy with the measurements![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
3. Did you do anything to the aftermarket TBI tank so that it will vent while filling it up? I notice in one of the pictures it's got something near the back of the tank. I've got one for a 83' 3.8 Regal with a sending unit, and will be using a 255 Walbro with the hotwire kit.
Thanks and once again nice car and build thread. Hope to see it on the dyno again soon!

I absolutely Love the Digital Dash. I little bit much to hook up but once you get the hang of it, goes like a breeze. Since its unlimited on MPH you don't have to worry.
It does the bliinkers, high beams, and even with give you 1/4 mile times, and 60 ft times.
the intake pipe was custom done by a friends fabricators shop.
Thanks for all the kinds words. If work wasn't off about 20,000 then it would be done already.

OK Guys & Gals,
Another motor has been dropped into the Malibu and its only days from getting fired up.
I will post some videos once the car starts and runs. Might leave off the first start as when the motr let go it had some oil in the exhaust so im sure it will be a smokey start up until the heat burns it off.

Basically Same set-up --- LQ9 with miles on it (1st motor had only 3,000 miles on it) went through and checked all the bearings, clean moor, installed lifters, rockers from 1st motor, stock, LS6 243 Heads with 921 springs installed and Stock LS6 Intake with Stock 78MM Throttle Body, diffrent CAM spec'd by Tune Time Performance.
It will see the dyno this week and if everthing looks good then Track by the weekend.

Video of the graph from Chassis Dyno.
You will see 2 sets of lines, the upper Red and upper Blue are the current build with new Cam and the Lower Red and Lower Blue are from Nov 2009 when we had XR273 Cam in the motor.
Comparison Graph.
