Ok im doing a ls1 swap in my 89 gmc 1500 sierra
we have the motor and everything in there and we are starting to work on the wiring part of the motor
i have a harness out of a 2002 tahoe and i can not find a wiring diagram on the internet or anything about the harness
i need to know what all the wires are so that i can splice them in and get everything working
any help at all would be appreciated greatly
i really need a wiring diagram of the harness that goes under the hood to the fuse box it is a black connection
please help im pretty much stuck at this point and can not do anymore with out the diagram
thanks
Cody

you might try checking on ebay for service manuals for the vehicles,
you may get lucky and get a service manual cheap that has the wiring. I got service manuals for my nissan altima for like $2 paypal for shipping of a cd with all the pdf's on it, and that had the wiring schematics in it. and like the next week guy at work who has a couple year's newer altima found all the pdf's online for free, so if you're web savvy you might get lucky.
I also have the GM 3 volume service manual for my 2002, which i paid $110 for shipped, and from that I could build the car from scratch if i had to, so i would say opt for the GM manuals before any others if you can afford it. Look for GM service manuals, for the year/model you need.

Oh, sorry. Must've misread your post. I thought you wanted the truck wiring. Don't have one of those handy. I'll check when I get home.

So it's an LM7 Vortec... the wiring PDF I gave you should be somewhat valid. Otherwise, I don't really have much in the way of wiring. A Haynes manual could help. Try some serious Googling.
