Go to a pick and pull and shop around until you find one that fits the dimensions of your radiator. I got one off a Taurus. hard to beat the $18 price, including relays.

I am going to try the fan setup from a 2000 Camaro that my LS1 came out of. New about $150 on Rock Auto but it does not include relays. I am sure the local junkyard would have one but I wanted a new one.

I pulled fans from a 1993 Caprice interceptor! 10bucks! created brackets and welded them to the radiator!

I grabbed the fans out of a mid-late 90`s GM FWD 3800 v6 car. Dirt cheap, fit my radiator, and the yard was loaded with them. They seem to have no problem keeping a 6.0L cool.

I used a 17" universal from advance. Limited lifetime warranty $120 and a thermostatic control from jegs $26. It idles in traffic at 190* in Florida. BTW I measure the temp at the back of the pass head so its a bit higher but more accurate.

+1 on both of these but note these are single fan applications but will have a low speed trigger wire and a high speed. The high speed draws a ton of current. I burned up a 40amp relay recently. Since then the low side has kept the motor cool w/o any problems. Also keep in mind, if this fan goes you're SOL. You won't have a backup to get you home like you would in twin fan setup..

They pull A LOT of air and are not too noisy. Don't look all that fancy however.

For the Taurus fan, can you use the stock wiring to have just the high speed running but put a different relay in place? If so, what relay would be best?

Definitely love the Mark VIII fans. Cheap and move a ton of air. Like others have said, make sure you have a beefy relay/wiring setup. I'm using a 80amp relay which is probably overkill, but didn't want to burn up the smaller sized relays either.

That's what I'm asking. Can you just put the 80 amp in place of the stock relay? If so, what is the p/n on the relay?

I'm using the Stinger SGP38. Bought it off the e bay fairly cheap.
