Default Power Loss LS1 Intake On A 2005 LQ4

Ok I have a 2005 LQ4 out of an 2500 Sierra. And I was wondering what if any power loss is there from switching to a LS1 intake?...instead of a LS6 intake. I got this info from a website....

Plenum Volume---Runner Volume--Runner Length

1997-2000 LS1 ------ 5.06 L-----0.536 L------------262 mm
2001-2002 LS1/6 -------5.19 L-----0.541 L------------262 mm
2002+ LS1/6 -------5.19 L-----0.541 L------------262 mm
LQ4 --------4.0L------0.541 L------------ 263 mm

I don't know if this is accurate but wouldn't I pretty much be trading off some low speed torque for higher HP. My reason for this is LS1 intakes are much cheaper and easier to come by than an LS6 intake. Anybody have a LQ4 with a pre 2001 LS1 intake? Im trying to build on a budget...

I have one on mine, and it runs fine. I haven't been able to check for any power loss due to not having the time to take it to a dyno. I think the truck intakes actually outflow the LS1 intake though. There is a post on here somewhere with some hard data.

The truck intakes are a little downon power but make more low end tourque that the LS1 & LS6 intake. I doubt you will loose power switching from a truck to an LS1 intake. I know the LS1 intake is down about 10hp or so on a LS6 intake.

I think the torque loss will be nominal maybe 10ftlb. Plus its a 6.0 so I doubt you'll notice. What is it going in? Something heavy?

I plan on putting it in a G-body.

I wouldn't worry about it much. My 5.3 with the single plane ripped off the line in my regal no problem. Just make sure you get your converter spec'd right.

Did you try looking in the dyno results section? There are lots of threads in there Im sure you could find something close if not exactly what you are looking for.
