Looks good! I got mine fired up last weekend, just need to finish up the small stuff like radiator, bleed brakes, fill rear and trans, and put fenders back on! I'm getting really anxious to drive this thing!

How come you had to rewire the rest of the car?

I didn't have to rewire the car... Although I wanted to rewire it to clean up the install.

airbags, ac, etc just left about 30/40lbs of extra garbage under the dash and hanging in the engine bay

It started!!

I am still waiting on the fuel pump but poured gas down the carb anyways...

It fired within about 2 seconds! (so my wiring must be right =P)

Driveshaft is in, still need a few things to tie it up. The fuel pump has been on order for 2 weeks and was now told it will ship Today (mon.) so we will see....

Fuel pump has been completed.
Had the car started and running for a short time but I think I need to pull the carb back off (the squirters aren't doing anything)

Have to finish the gauge harness, put a few bolts in the dash, carpet/seats/shifter installed.

top off the trans fluid and coolant and it is ready for its first drive.
Sunday will probably be the day (finally!!)

Just got back from the track

Car is still running VERY rich (plugs are coal black)

I'm running the #5 timing pill until I hook up the laptop.

Engine is a stock 100k LQ4 with stock 241s, vic jr, 800cfm holley (borrowed)
t400/3500 stall/3.73s/mt drag radial

Drove the car 75 miles to track and ran 12.26 @109 with 1.62 60'

I am very pleased with the initial runs and can't wait to get the carb and timing straightened out!

What fittings were used for the power steering pump? What coolant reservoir is that? Looks real clean. Good job

The fittings came from http://www.purechoicemotorsports.com/
the 2 for the rack swap it to -6an and were $20 for the pair

They also sell the proper fitting to put in the pump to swap it to -6an

The overflow tank is RCI from Summit that was $18.00

Thanks for the compliments

I'm not sure of the starting weight (basically stock '00 GT)
But I weighed the car tonight at Milan and it weighed 2965 lbs

That is with the back seat in and nearly a full tank (12 gallons)

It is lower than what I was expecting!

I didn't race Friday night. I got out of work late so just drove up to spectate and weighed it while I was there.

I should be able to get 100lbs or so out of the car easily.
That weight will then be replaced by a rollbar though....

I am going to get the carbed/timing straightened out and try to get some passes in a week or so to try to improve the 12.20s it went a few weeks ago
