You don't have to buy adapters to use them. Just go to a pull a part and cut them off and solder them into place.

I am about to do the same thing. Let's say there are no pull ur parts around with these late model cars in them. What do you do then?

Then you can call one of the sponsors and ask them for an EV6 to EV1 injector adapter. Look at some of the sponsors that deal with swaps mostly, they should have them.

Current Performance has them for $8.50 each.. but you shuold be able to goto a parts store and ask them to check in there Electrical vendor catalogs and, OEM pigtails and they should also be able to source them for you.

Maybe some of the other vendors on this site or member will have some spare ones.

when soldering on new pigtails, does it matter which wire connects to which???

I'm going to be soldering on some Racetronix EV1 pigtails to a truck harness, but both wires are red... do not want to put some on backwards!!!

Just cut and solder. Mine came from an Aurora with the 4.0 V8. Any mid 90s GM uses the same plugs (even the stock injector plugs for my 88 Nissan were the same).

But what you're saying is no way is wrong way? Polarity can flow either way through plug/injector?

We use the FAST kit. It has the plugs and pins. You crimp on the new pins, and do away w/ the soldering BS....

Mines came from an Oldsmobile Intrigue. I noticed almost every car I looked a had the same plugs. Some may take a little more work to get to than others

Here is a different thread I just found while searching last night:
(not sure if I'm supposed to post links to other forums, but at least it's helpful and relevant...)

When replacing injector connectors you need to have the polarity correct. This is easily done by looking at each injector body as most have a + stamped into it somewhere. The pink wire is then connected to each + and the (various colors) to the control (pcm) side. Be careful as one injector may have a pink and a pink/black in the same connector. I believe some connectors also have a + on each one.

You are incorrect. It does not matter how they are connected.

LMAO.... a coil.....which is exactly what the electrical actuating part of a injector is, is just like all the rest of the DC coils in the world....they dont give a $H!T where the positive and the negative are.

I agree that basically all injectors are a coil, some contain diodes to allow current to flow in one direction only. This prevents any voltage feedback into the wiring system when the magnetic field collapses. I am not sure if all contain diodes but why would a manufacturer mark them if it did not make a difference? If you are going to rewire them anyway why not do it right the first time?
