I don't have cyl heads to get pics

Go under the dash and loosen the 4 bolts holding the colum and you should be able to move it over enough to clear. Mine is very close I may have to ding the tube.

Are your brackets under the dash slotted?
Mine aren't.

I'll try it out, but I don't see how it would be able to move.
I'll post up some pics of what the column brackets look like and you'll see what I mean.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same bolts,
the two bolts where the hood release is bolted to, and there are two more down toward the firewall.

Well things are starting to take shape.
Pistons arrived yesterday and engine is at the machine shop now should have it back in 21 days

Headers are getting swaped out for some that fit better. Thanks Dynatech

Heads are in progress at Flowtech Induction.

Converter will be ordered from Ultimate Converter Concepts soon

I have parts rolling in daily little things here and there.

Picked the engine parts up from the machine shop. everything came out good. Crank needed 2 20 gram holes drilled in it for balancing. Block looked great no issues.

Headers came in last night

Converter will be here in 3 weeks

Cam is on the way

Going to file some rings tonight and start piston assembly.

Hey Tim! Are you getting the converter from Lenny? If so, did you give Lenny the dimensions that came with the ultrabell or you just told him what you want? Or he's going to modify yours? The reason I ask is because about 1 1/2 yrs ago Lenny built me a converter that was supposed to be used on my 408w project but never had the chance to use it. I emailed him asking about modifying this converter to be used with the ultrabell and the LQ4 and he said that he didn't have any idea what to do. This was about a year ago when I inquired about it. I'm just hoping that by now more people have done this kind of hybrid c-4/ls combos and Lenny is more familiar with it. I'm getting excited about your project but man, man keeps getting pushed back...thanks to the wifey

It is a chevy converter with chevy height and C4 back. No big deal we talked about a bunch of dimensions and it is really very simple.

I got a new one sold my old for 700. I think the new is $1195 or so.

If I want I can put it behind a sbc or BBC.

Thanks Tim! I spoke with Lenny and he told me that it shouldn't be a problem now. So I submitted the Detail Spec sheet for my new combo. Right of the bat he said that it'll probably end with a 5k or so stall. Yours is going to be awesome from what he mentioned to me.

I can't wait to see how yours do so I can an idea what to expect.

Looks good, is that rad for a Mustang or from a Camaro? I've heard that the Camaro rad is almost a drop in, then you can just use off the shelf hoses.
