Well major progress in the last two weeks.
Short block it together.
Trans and conveter all fit together and required no mods
Got the steering shaft all finished. Just waiting on Cyl heads. I hope to see them in the next week or so.
I have the program done for the AEM.
We should be making some noise in the next two weeks. Then it is off to get some passes on it.

Can't wait to see how it runs. I just installed the engine, tranny and rear end to tow it from FL to IL. I was surprised on how well the LS/C-4 combo fits in the car enabling the use of the stock lenght driveshaft as well. Did you have clearance problems with the rear seal cover bolts interfering with the bellhousing? I still have a lot of work to do but in the next couple of weeks should see a lot more progress.

Well I will have heads on thurs.
IF things go as planned I hope to get them off the UPS truck thrus morn get a PR measurement. Order them from Trend so they get here on Fri. Then I will get the motor together and the rest of the car together. Should not take more than 4-5 hours then get it running friday. Put some miles on it over the weekend and if things look good get to the track on wensday. If things go well there I will drive it to Chicago for the NMRA super bowl to run true street.
Things are going to have to go perfect. I have had everything mocked up but the intake to Cyl heads. I hope I don't need to mill it but I do have a mill lined up if I need it in the middle of the night.

The intake is a Vic Jr with a 4 hole TB on it. I have a little 1.5" hood that clears with a filter on it and a tall hood that is a touch faster than the short one.
I worked on the car all day got it done about 12:30 today and had some cam sensor woes that I spent all night fixing. I was on the phone with aem tech and did get very far. Called Sean at Collins automotive and we spent about 1.5 hours working thru things and found that gm switches some wires around in the jumper harness to the cam sensor and this is what was screwing me.
I should have fire in the hole first thing tomorrow.
Overall this is the best fitting final assebly I have ever had. No mods were needed and no parts were missing when I needed them.

Damn you got it done and I'm still half way there. Only if my wife would let me spend time to work on it ![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
Any times yet? Other impressions on the power on that thing?
Btw it looks great! The LS engines are like the perfect match for 79-04 mustangs lol. I should just put a stock LS3 in my 04 GT, oh wait my wife won't agree on that one.
Keep up the excellent work Tim!
